Sometimes called “the hymn of Christ,” Philippians 2:1-‐11may have been an early hymn of the church, or even an early creedal confession. Paul repeatedly encourages the believers in Philippi to be united (1:27, 2:1-‐2, 2:14, 4:2), suggesting that the body of believers in Philippi were experiencing conflict or disagreement.
