As Work & Witness celebrates its 50th anniversary at the 30th General Assembly and Conventions in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, the ministry unveiled a new name, Nazarene Missions Teams, and a new look.

“The grass roots movement of Work & Witness continues to spread as teams are going from many countries and there are many types of trips are needed,” said Nazarene Missions Director Stephen Sickel. “We are catching up to what this grass roots movement has shown us: a path to adapt and encourage more people and build relationships with churches from around the world.”

As part of the launch, nazarene.org/teams was created with a number of projects for prospective missions teams and guides for leaders and team members. More training opportunities for leaders will be added in the future.

In addition, Nazarene Missions Teams recently released Light for the Path through The Foundry Publishing. Light for the Path is a devotional guide for both leaders and participants of short-term missions trips that provides guidance before, during, and after a missions trip.

The resources include a missiological framework, tools for relational engagement, guidance for a healthy missions mindset, and scripture-based team devotions.
