West Virginia pastor passes away unexpectedly

John Douglas, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away 3 December at the age of 64 due to complications during heart surgery. He was the lead pastor of River Valley Community Church in Vienna, West Virginia.

John and his wife, Sue, first served in ministry in 1989 in Reedsville, Ohio, where they helped plant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene. They served there until 1996 when they took the call to serve at River Valley, where they have served ever since. 

John is survived by his wife, their son, Jonathan, and their three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. 7 December, and the funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. 8 December at the Broadway Church of the Nazarene in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
