A celebration of the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the gospel through the Church of the Nazarene to the Awajún and Wampis tribes, among others in the Amazon region of Peru, was held 10-12 October 2024.
More than 800 women from Peru met in Chiclayo for the National Congress of Nazarene Women of Peru, held 28-30 June. The event was organized by the Ministry of Women with the motto “Renewed for the Race.”

In 2023, a significant milestone in the leadership of NYI Peru was established. The first National Leadership Summit occurred, “Flight 28:19,” from 29 June to 1 July in Chiclayo. A Maximum Mission project and the district camps followed the summit.

Doris Palma de Urcia, a pastor in Peru, passed away 19 August 2022. Doris served in pastoral ministry as co-pastor in the Urrunaga church. She was a tireless evangelist, both in outdoor services, in the church, and at a personal level.
Norine Grantz, 94, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away 24 April 2022. She was a retired missionary who served in Peru for 23 years.

Addie Garman, a missionary who served in Peru for more than 45 years, was laid to rest at the Nuevo Horizonte Mission Station during a memorial service attended by over a thousand people.
