
Local ministries gather for training in Mesoamerica

Church Street Church of the Nazarene in Carlsbad, New Mexico, is one of many churches making space for families and children with disabilities. That’s why Nazarene Discipleship International has started a Disability Ministry.
Over 200 Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI) leaders from across the USA/Canada Region gathered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for LC 2024. Those in attendance participated in moving worship music, listened to powerful sermons in plenary sessions, and attended workshops to equip them for the discipleship journey.
The Board of General Superintendents (BGS) announced the election of Samuel Barber as global director of Nazarene Discipleship International. Barber currently serves as the superintendent of the South Central Ohio District. He replaces Scott Rainey, who served as global NDI director from 2018 to 2024.
“Journey of Grace” allows kids aged 4 to 11 to learn about theological concepts through the art of play. Through the game, leaders hope to provide a way for churches to intersect with culture in order to bring value and contextualize the gospel in ways that make sense to them.
To conclude the NDI convention, those in attendance accepted the daily challenges of NDI’s five core principles: authentic relationships, compassionate outreach, comprehensive biblical learning, fervent prayer, and intentional mentoring and equipping.
The third day of the Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI) General Convention was again filled with the presence of Jesus. Numerous prayer groups continued to be stationed around the convention center, interceding for God’s will to be done throughout the day.
The second day of the Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI) General Convention was again filled with the presence of Jesus. The day consisted of the opening of the second NDI Plenary, World Quiz, workshops, and GA Kids.
The first day of the Nazarene Discipleship International General Convention was filled with the presence of Jesus. Early in the session, General Superintendent David Graves received NDI’s top award, the Second Mile Award, for his influence on the church in discipleship and leadership.
Nazarene Discipleship International (NDI) welcomes those attending the 30th General Assembly and Conventions to its exhibit in collaboration with fellow local church ministries Nazarene Missions International (NMI) and Nazarene Youth International (NYI). All women are invited to a women’s worship gathering called Women of Grace on the Journey Together for a time of worship and guided prayer for Nazarene churches and ministry leaders around the globe.
