Solomon Ndlovu, strategy coordinator for the Africa South Field, announced Rickson Nkhata was elected superintendent of the Eswatini Central District on the second ballot. Nkhata currently pastors the Living Waters Church of the Nazarene in Manzini, Eswatini.
More than 1,600 women from South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Mozambique gathered to experience fellowship with other Nazarene women, uplift each other, and experience renewal and empowerment.
Joseph Penn, 104, of Hesperia, California, passed away 5 January 2022. He was a retired minister and missionary who served in Eswatini, Mozambique, and South Africa for 40 years.
Russell Human, 86, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away 16 October 2021. He was a retired minister, missionary, and district superintendent, who served the Church of the Nazarene for nearly 50 years.
Elizabeth “Beth” Merki, 88, of Millville, New Jersey, passed away 29 June 2021. She served as a missionary for 32 years in South Africa, Swaziland (now Eswatini), and Papua New Guinea, alongside her late husband, Robert Merki.
Edna Lochner, 96, of Freeport, Illinois, passed away 9 April 2021. She was a retired missionary who served in Eswatini for 38 years.
Haven of Hope, a center created by Bethany, Oklahoma, First Church of the Nazarene, will help shelter and rehabilitate women who are victims of sexual abuse and sex trafficking in Eswatini.
