The Board of General Superintendents has consistently called the Church of the Nazarene to show compassion for immigrants and refugees. At its February 2025 meeting, the Board of General Superintendents reaffirmed the 2015 BGS statement on immigration.

The Board of General Superintendents announced the retirement of Lola Brickey, global director of Nazarene Missions International, effective at the end of January 2025.
The Board of General Superintendents has elected Kafoa Muaror to the position of Asia-Pacific regional director, effective 1 September 2024. Muaror succeeds Mark Louw, who was elected Eurasia regional director in June 2024. He recently served as strategy coordinator for the Melanesia South Pacific Field in June 2019.

Christian Sarmiento was elected the 45th general superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene on 15 June 2023. Sarmiento was elected on the 40th ballot during the morning business session of the 30th General Assembly and Conventions in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
T. Scott Daniels was elected the 44th general superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene on 15 June 2023. Daniels was elected on the 33rd ballot during the morning business session of the 30th General Assembly and Conventions in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
